The Walking With Pride and Power Project
The Walking With Pride and Power Project is a collaborative, transnational rug artwork that uses textiles and text to share stories of resistance, identity, and solidarity with queer and marginalized communities. Participants create fabric squares and can add personal writing, which are woven together into a collective tapestry that builds community through a shared, healing process. The ongoing work travels and is exhibited internationally, inviting everyone to take part.

Weaving Workshop

After a guest lecture I held on art and activism, we continued weaving
squares for the Walking With Pride rug, which wouldl come together
and be exhibited in Amsterdam.

A university class took part in the project, each student contributing in different role
to help bring it to life. This marked the first weaving workshop, where students
learned the technique together. The evening was shared with food, laughter around a campfire, and collective crafting.
