Moving Tunes
Community is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I am organising events, marching for a cause, or behind the decks as a DJ. What drives me is people coming together. Music has a way of dissolving whatever we carry, even just for a few hours, and there is something quietly radical about a room full of people simply letting go.

DS14 used to be a student house where community and connection came first. In a small town with limited nightlife, we created a space where students and young people in Middelburg could experience techno and dance culture together.
Plant-based University Festival
November 2024
At the Plant-Based University Festival, we came together to show UCR students the positive impact a plant-based diet can have on the planet. Our team was working toward transforming UCR into a fully plant-based university. During the festival, we shared great food and drinks, games, and live music, and turned the Green House into a space to connect and dance together.
Beach Sunset Groove

The UCR party team organized a sunset beach dance event to bring
people outdoors, closer to nature, and create a shared, freeing
atmosphere. It offered something fresh and vibrant, encouraged
connection and well-being, and gave people space to unwind, where I
also played a short set.

One Last Spike
by Auguste van YsseldijkMay 1st, Labour Day, is a meaningful occasion to honour and reflect on workers’ rights. Although it is not an official public holiday in the Netherlands, we organised a community gathering to mark its importance. The event brought together students, workers, and families for a relaxed day in the park, sharing music, playing games, and enjoying each other’s company. It was a simple yet powerful way to celebrate solidarity and community.
Auguste van Ysseldijk created a short video capturing the spirit of life in Middelburg, highlighting two of the things that brought students closest together: music and spikeball. The video shows how sport and music intertwine, creating shared moments of energy, connection, and enjoyment among students.
