How It Lingers | Orange the World
Orange the World is the global campaign against violence towards women and girls. It takes place every year from the 25th of November, the International Day against Violence against Women, to 10 December, International Human Rights Day.
The Campaign How It Lingers shines a light on how sexual harassment leaves a lasting imprint on Survivors, shaping and affecting their lives long after the moment itself. The campaign came to life in multiple forms, from organising protests to spark public conversation, to partnering with the Zeeuws museum to exhibit photographs and poetry that opened up honest, meaningful conversations around this issue.
Silent Protest - How it Lingers
2022
In 2022, Not Your Honey Zeeland organized a silent protest, How It Lingers, to raise awareness of the lasting impact of sexual assault. Participants wore different outfits to show it can happen anywhere. Using orange paint and our hands, we left visible marks for the photographs, taken by SimonM.
